Basic Skills Quality Mark
Since summer 2002, 11 Southend schools have been successful in achieving
the Quality
Mark
Congratulations to all those schools!
A primary school has to demonstrate that it has all the evidence in place
for
all 10 Elements before the Primary Quality Mark can be awarded.
Alan Wells, Director of the Basic Skills Agency has visited the following
schools to present the award:
- Barons Court Infant and Nursery
- Blenheim Primary and Nursery
- Fairways Primary
- Friars Infant and Nursery
- Hinguar Primary
- Porters Grange Primary and Nursery
- Sacred heart RC Primary
These schools have gained the award and will receive an official
presentation this year.

- The Westborough Primary and Nursery
- Edwards Hall Infant
